World Fence News is published by the World Fencing Data Center based in Austin, Texas. Cartoonist
  Dan Rosandich was approached by editor Rick Henderson to create a cartoon panel called Pete & Jake
  and Dan submitted sample roughs after discussing the characters with Rick. "They must've liked what
  they saw", says Rosandich as a contract was signed to produce dozens of panels to be used within the
  publication each month. Dan has been illustrating the adventures (and misadventures!) of these two
  clumsy characters since the spring of 1995.  Pete & Jake work for the fictitious Boss Fence Company,
  and the 'boss' himself, is also a character who appears in the cartoon on a regular basis.  
 
   A recent addition to the panel is "Luckey", the fence dog. Readers of the publication send in ideas of
  their own, based on experiences they have had in the fence installation industry and Dan uses those
  which are approved by Rick, along with other ideas supplied by Rick himself.  "Pete & Jake are a vital
  part of WFN and always have been", says editor Rick Henderson. The magazine will occasionally run
  a full page "Pete & Jake Golden Oldies" devoted to previously published favorites. A sampling of the
