CUSTOMIZED ARTICLE ILLUSTRATIONS | CUSTOM CARTOON CONTENT CREATED
 If you need your article or story illustrated, or need custom cartoons created to enhance a display advertisement,
 email me with all of your specific information: dan@danscartoons.com. Ideally, it is best to supply the following:
  • The circulation of your publication
  • Would final artwork needed, be black & white line art, or in full color?
  • How soon you need the image is another important factor. A day? A week? Or...
  • Attach article the artwork would be needed for or supply a description of what you have in
    mind for the image that you want to have created.

This allows me to quote you a fee that is based on the above factors, including my 30+ years of prior experience in creating illustrations for other publications similar to yours. 
 
 Editorial illustrations can be created under
 your guidance. The cartoon that appears in
 the editorial to the right, was first done in
 rough inked sketch and attached in an email
 to the editor. A few changes and some
 modifications were made, according to his
 information and the image was resent. He
 liked what he saw, and the final images was
 colorized and sent in high resolution TIFF
 format. The text was simply dropped in and
 wrapped around the cartoon so all of it
 blends onto the page to make for a good
 read. The editor supplied all of the specific
 ideas he had in mind for this scenario and I
 basically illustrated the scenario he had in
 mind. I work in Photoshop, and will use the
 color scheme you prefer or can colorize a
 final image on my own and show it to you.
 Any colors can be changed based on your
 instructions later. Tight deadlines are not a
 problem but usually add to a higher quote,
 based on a faster turn-around time.
